The research project 'From linear design chains to circular design teams' focuses on the functioning of teams that want to build circularly. These teams have to learn to deal with different partners than before, with different goals and different processes, while the concept of 'circular building' is still in development. The research project helps develop a network of parties in the Zwolle region that contributes to the transition to a circular economy.
''We are participating as a knowledge partner of Windesheim in the 2-year RAAK-mkb research project, aimed at realising circular construction projects in the Zwolle region. This research fits well with our interdisciplinary research programmes TranCiBo and CirCol", says Van Marrewijk.
The research team of this project consists of associate lecturers and lecturer-researchers from Windesheim University of Applied Sciences. The expert group consists of Alfons van Marrewijk (VU Amsterdam), Ruth Mourik (Duneworks) and Huigert de Hoop (Windesheim University of Applied Sciences). They will monitor the quality of the research and play an important role in the dissemination and further spread and application of knowledge in practice, research and education.
The consortium receives funding of 300 thousand euros. RAAK-mkb is a programme of the Taskforce for Applied Research SIA (Regieorgaan SIA), which aims to promote the quality and impact of research conducted at universities of applied sciences. They do so by funding research and stimulating cooperation between universities of applied sciences, the business community and public institutions.
