Writer in Residence Babs Gons installed on March 31st at the Academy of Arts
Babs Gons (1971) is a spoken word artist in the academic year 2021/2022 Vrije Schrijver (Writer in Residence) of VU Amsterdam. She is installed with five other members at the Academy of Arts. The six (Jetse Batelaan, Neske Beks, Jan Dibbets, Piet Gerbrandy, Babs Gons and Lavinia Meijer) are prominent artists from all art disciplines such as music, visual arts, performing arts and literature. The academy of arts is the place for debate about the value of art in society and about the relationship between art and science
