In 2019, VU celebrated the first Festival of Lights, inspired by old traditions such as Hanukkah, Diwali and Christmas. And nourished by the beautiful and valuable personal stories from our own VU community.
The following two editions were digital, and this year the Festival of Lights celebration is back on campus. Brought to you by 3D, in collaboration with VU organisations such as USR, NEWConnective, Life is Better in 3D and the Diversity Office. And of course with you!
All students and staff are warmly invited to participate in the VU Festival of Lights.
On Thursday 15 December from 5 p.m., accompanied by students bearing lights, you can walk from the various VU buildings to the VU campus square – or you can make your own way to the campus square. Gather at the main entrance of every VU building at 5 p.m.
We serve something warm and tasty at the 3D debate center, while enjoying live music. From 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. we will hold the Ceremony of Lights, where members of our community share something that brings them light.
