The multidisciplinary symposium takes place in Milan, 6 - 8 June, and investigates the complex relationship between the natural environment and design. It is curated by Formafantasma, a design and research studio based in Milan and Rotterdam, and brings together research scholars, architects, designers, artists, activists, anthropologists and legal experts.
The three-day event will consist of a series of six sessions, with two occurring every day - each assigned a unique theme tying it to the overarching narrative of the symposium, which will be explored through readings, debates, conversations, and video projections.
Prof. Philipp Pattberg will join Session 5 'Governing', which investigates the role of offsetting emissions, and the governance of natural ecosystems.
