On Friday 9 September an employee has died in the New University Building. VU Amsterdam is in close contact with the family. Students and staff who were a witness have received support on site by occupational social work and the Wellbeing Student Point of VU.
For anyone who needs support after this tragic incident, NEWConnective opens 3Don Monday 12 September between 11.00 en 17.30hrs. There is also the possibility to visit the Student Wellbeing Point at VU Amsterdam or make an appointment with one of our student psychologists. Employees can turn to occupational social work for support. There’s also spiritual care available. You can contact NEWConnective for such guidance. Support is also provided nationwide through Victim Support Netherlands.
