Aletta Kraneveld received her PhD in pharmacology from Utrecht University in 1994. In 2016, she became professor of "Interdisciplinary Translation Pharmacology" at the same university. Currently, in addition to her professorship, she is also vice dean of research of the Faculty of Science of Utrecht University. She has held various leadership roles nationally and internationally, including in the areas of sustainability, diversity and integrity. From her current position, she plays an important role in the implementation of Recognition and Rewards. Her leadership style is open and respectful to all and she knows how to weigh different views and interests. This fits perfectly with the Art of Engagement, our leadership culture. In addition, Aletta has a large national and international network.

Aletta Kraneveld is a worthy successor to Professor Guus Schreiber.
