Indeed, once again, the ambiance, participants, emotions, safety and the bonding was wonderful. As trainer, I still enjoy from each single moment and cherish these precious memories.
As part of the INCLUDE-project, Belink Academy facilitated a follow-up NLP coaching for the Higher Population Council المجلس الأعلى للسكان, Yarmouk University, Ahel Aljabal and other respected organisations in Amman. The training zoomed in further into some of the NLP models and concepts, added with aspects of systemic coaching and family constellation. In particular the last mentioned was full of emotions, tears and healing....
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is relevant within the context of SRHR in combination with a refugee setting because it adds much to skills development, and it brings a transformation to human wellbeing and positive mindset as well as promoting positive behavioural change, which is needed to create a healthy society. Changing behaviour takes time and therefor NLP techniques are extremely helpful to better understand behaviour of otheres. It also helps clients to understand their own behaviour and ways to work towards a desired solution.
Another participant noted 'looking forward to apply all things I learned when working on developmental projects, since I see how important it is to understand ourselves and others. It is the key to make change'
The training was part of a larger team effort within the INCLUDE-project. A project led Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Centre for International Cooperation) by Jorn Dormans (co-facilitator CIS-VU).
