Results NSE 2021: Students positive about education VU Amsterdam

23 June 2021
On 23 June, the results of the National Student Survey 2021 (NSE) were published by Studiekeuze123.

The NSE gives students the opportunity to assess their study programme on many education-related themes. This year, we look back on an exceptional year for students. We particularly appreciate the fact that, as in previous editions, our students were prepared to give their opinion on the education provided under special circumstances. Students valued VU Amsterdam with an average score of 3.89 (out of 5) when asked: "How satisfied are you with your education in general?" In this edition, they could also indicate their satisfaction regarding online education. The answers show that students are positive about the use of digital resources and the structured way in which online education is offered. Not surprisingly, last year students were less satisfied with the possibility of direct one-on-one contact with teachers.

27% of VU Amsterdam students participated in the NSE 2021. Rector Vinod Subramaniam thanks the 8,500 students who completed the survey: “Everyone has worked hard this year to provide the best possible education for students. We will take these results into account when we look to the future. We look forward to welcoming students back to campus to make education better together.”
