Therefore, FCO/AVC has made technical improvements in the AV facilities in 22 lecture halls to make video and sound better. In 117 lecture halls, the installed cameras and microphones remain in place. On the Canvas Online Education page, teachers can find the list of room numbers and technical/didactic instructions.
In recent months, FCO/AVC and VU NT&L have taken care of keeping the hybrid education facilities, as realised in the past academic year, up and running and improving them where necessary. Despite the desire of the OPO and the CvB to organise education on campus again as much as possible, it is also likely that parts of the education will still take place online or that only limited numbers of students will be able to come to campus. For this reason, technical improvements will be made to the AV facilities in 22 lecture halls to improve the sound and video quality. In 117 study group rooms, the installed cameras and microphones will remain in place, and FCO will combat vandalism as intensively as possible and resolve any technical defects quickly. Also 25 Classroom Studios where teachers can record lectures or provide them in real time will remain available. On the Canvas Online Education page, lecturers can find the list of room numbers and technical and didactic instructions. Student assistants from VU NT&L and/or staff from the AVC are available to instruct teachers on how to use the facilities.
Instruction and support on the use of the facilities can be requested no later than 2 days prior to the lecture via this form (Help me with my running courseà Hybrid Classroom). Support from faculty student assistants is preferred.
