Masha Antokolskaia has been appointed member of the Academia Europaea (The European Academy of Sience). Antokolskaia has been a professor of private law, in particular private and family law, at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam since 2005.
The Academia Europaea is a European non-governmental scientific academy. The Academia Europaea was founded in 1988 in Cambridge, UK, and now has over 2,000 members from 35 European and eight other countries. The academy can count more than 40 Nobel laureates among its members.
