VU National Science Weekend October 7th

On Saturday 7 October, VU Amsterdam will once again be opening its doors for the National Science Weekend. We would like to invite you to join us ‘Backstage at VU’ where you can meet our scientists and take part in workshops and experiments between 12:00 and 17:00.

Our special guest is VU Amsterdam professor and ambassador of the Science Weekend Erik Scherder. He will kick off the day with an interactive lecture for all ages on the mysterious world of the brain. It promises to be a beautiful day!

There are more than 50 activities to choose from: how about a live court case, the robot arena or the health lab? Attend a mini-course in archaeology, join a real hacking workshop, learn all about T-rex Trix or have your memory tested!

Our scientists have put together activities for all ages and especially for younger visitors (ages 6 and up), so bring your family, friends and children to the university for the Science Weekend!

For an overview of the programme and information about the activities please visit www.vu.nl/wvdw. Entry is free, but please note that for some events you will need to book a timeslot in advance. Most of the workshops will be provided in Dutch. You do not need to register for the event, but you can let us know if you are coming by sharing your attendance on Facebook.
