 , May 7, it is also possible to submit a proposal for a workshop, lig
 htning talk, networking session, poster session, information booth or

 al.</p><h3>Leo Waaijers Open Science Prize 2026</h3><p>From 2026 NWO 
 and UKB will jointly award the annual Leo Waaijers Open Science Prize
 . With this prize UKB, NWO and Open Science NL recognize and apprecia
 te initiatives that make an important, inspiring and sustainable cont
 ribution to the open science movement. The winner receives a cash pri
 ze in the amount of €50,000. The amount can be used to further stre
 ngthen the initiative or to set up a new initiative.</p><p>A jury of 
 open science experts will judge the entries. The winner will be annou
 nced during the Open Science Festival.&nbsp;<strong>Nominations can b
 e made no later than June 23, 2026 before 14:00 CEST.&nbsp;</strong>W
