Blended Intensive Pr ogramme on using LOUIS to integrate transversal competences into the learning outcomes, assessment and teaching & learning activities of your course.

The course purpose is to support academic teachers (including PhD students who teach) in designing course learn ing outcomes, assignments and feedback rubrics for students using LOU IS: Learning Outcomes in University for Impact on Society.

At the end of the course participants should be able to:

integrate transversal competences into their course module with intuitively understandable learning outcomes, in line wi th the Bologna requirements;

design an assignment for stude nts that allows assessment of achievement of both subject-specific an d transversal learning outcomes of their course module;

des ign a feedback rubric to give adequate feedback on the students’ st rengths and weaknesses in the achievement of both subject-specific an d transversal learning outcomes of their course module.

T hrough the course, participants will also increase self-awareness for LOUIS competences like Problem Solving (from ‘identification’ to ‘implementation’ and ‘evaluation’), Integrative Learning (tr ansfer), and Teamwork (learning from others).

The course is an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), featurin g:

before the on-site event one online group session and an individual participant-trainer session,

a five days’ interactive training (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, 1-5 June 2026), a nd

after the on-site event again individual participant-tra iner sessions and an online group session.

Participants m ay be eligible for an Erasmus+ mobility grant from their home univers ity.

All participants will need to be present in all onli ne and on-site parts of the BIP. Only participants who attend all req uired sessions and submit their course information and BIP assignment on time will receive the certificate of successful completion of the BIP.

The BIP is implemented under the responsibility of pr of. dr. Marjolein Zweekhorst (VU Amsterdam) by a team of experienced trainers in the LOUIS approach, with practical experience in using LO UIS themselves.
