Deel de Duif (Share the Dove) ar e two young Jewish and two young Muslim who have stood side by side w hile tensions in the Middle East were rising. Despite their apparent differences, they managed to grow closer and continue conversations a ll over the Netherlands.
Boaz and Oumaima from Deel de Duif wil l share with you how they got to engaged in complex conversations, an d how they grew closer despite our differences. Explaining why the co nflict in the Middle East affects us so deeply. During this gathering Oumaima and Boaz won’t delve deeply into the conflict itself, but relate to what it does to all us and our communities. Emphasizing the importance of dialogue to counter hardened polarization and come to understanding another person's perspective. In order to do so Deel de Duif provides tips and tools for the application of dialogue in prac tice like looking for similarities instead of differences and that en gaging in dialogue is about trying to understand the other person, ev en if that is sometimes difficult.
