 ttps://vu.nl/en">VU Amsterdam</a> are bringing Processing Community D
 ay to Amsterdam!</p><p>Processing Community Day (PCD) is a worldwide 
 series of local events celebrating the <a href="https://processing.or
 g/">Processing</a> programming language and the creative coding commu
 nity that has grown around it since 2001.</p><p>Amsterdam’s edition
  is a free afternoon at VU with a beginner workshop, community talks 
 and a live coding session to wrap it all up.</p><p>It’s for anyone 
 who makes things with code, or wants to start. Whether you’ve writt
 en one sketch or a thousand, you belong here. The whole afternoon is 
 in English.</p><p><strong>Program</strong><br><strong>13:30 · Openin
 g Block</strong><br>Welcome and context from the organizers.<br><stro
 ng>13:50-15:10 · First Pixel</strong><br>A hands-on introduction to 
 Processing for beginners. No experience needed, just bring a laptop. 
 You’ll go home with a generative sketch you made yourself. The work
 shop is in room NU-6A25.<br><strong>15:30-16:45 · Open Systems</stro
 ng><br>Community talks on generative work. Speakers from the open cal
 l present generative systems, interactive works and creative tools, 1
 0-15 minutes each.<br><strong>17:00-18:00 · Render Loop</strong><br>
 The day ends with an audiovisual algorave. Code written live and proj
 ected big.</p><p><strong>Open call</strong><br>Want to present during
  Open Systems? Apply by Saturday, October 10th. Each slot is 15 minut
 es long, with 10 minutes to present and 5 for questions.<br>Never pre
 sented before? Please apply anyway. First-time speakers are very welc
 ome, and your work doesn’t need to be finished. Think generative vi
 sual systems, interactive installations, creative coding tools and li
 braries, live coded performances, or the story of how a project came
