Rosh Hashanah is the day that the Jewi sh people celebrate the new year. It also marks the start of the high holidays. Are you curious to find out about this holiday&n bsp;and what traditions are connected to this important day? Com e to the glass house at the Wereldhuis to us her in the new year. Together we will dine, get to know each other be tter, express our wishes for the new year, and with guidance fro m Lievnath Faber, rabbi in training, learn more a bout the meaning of this holiday.
This celebration is ope n to all. Whether you’re Jewish, atheist, or believe ;in something else. The most important thing is that you’re&nb sp;curious and that you’re looking forward to a delicious meal. Oy Vey will teach us more about the holiday,&nb sp;the Wereldhuis will prepare the food, and NEWConnec tive will facilitate and program the evening. The Wereldhuis is a community centre for undocumente d people, and it is located in the middle of the old Jewish neighborhood of Amsterdam.
