  organising a pilot workshop on Advanced Git.</strong><br>It builds d
 irectly on the Software Carpentry curriculum (Shell, Git, Python) and
  helps you move from individual use of Git to effective teamwork and 
 contribution to open-source scientific software.</p><p>We’ll work w
 ith materials from&nbsp;<a href="https://coderefinery.github.io/git-c

 e/">CodeRefinery</a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href="https://learngitbranching
 .js.org/" title="https://learngitbranching.js.org/">Learn Git Branchi
 ng</a>&nbsp;to explore merging strategies, branching models, collabor
 ative workflows, and contribution patterns used in major research sof
 tware projects.&nbsp;</p><h3>Who is this for?</h3><p>Researchers, eng
 ineers, and research software developers at&nbsp;<strong>NWO institut
 es</strong>&nbsp;who already use Git for their own work and want to c
 ollaborate more effectively.<br>If places remain, registration will b
 e opened for&nbsp;<strong>VU</strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>UvA</stro
 ng>&nbsp;participants.</p><p>Lunch will be provided for participants 
 (sign up&nbsp;<strong>before Thursday, January 15</strong>).&nbsp;</p
 ><h3>Prerequisites</h3><p>To participate, you should have:</p><ol>  <
 li><strong>Basic Git knowledge</strong>, either from the Git module o
 f Software Carpentry or equivalent experience (e.g., follow a self-pa
 ced&nbsp;<a href="https://swcarpentry.github.io/git-novice/" title="h
 ttps://swcarpentry.github.io/git-novice/">Version Control with Git</a
 >&nbsp;lesson by the Carpentries or&nbsp;<a href="https://coderefiner

  should already know how to use Git from the command line for a local
