Dr. Radhakrishn
an R.K.’s PhD journey did not end when he graduated from the Athena
Institute at @VUAmsterdam. He continued to engage with the Sri Lanka
n refugees he met during his studies. Having lived in India for over
30 years, these refugees consider it their home, yet many remain marg
inalized – on the outskirts of society. In his short documentary, a
ward winning political journalist, Radhakrishnan, shares their storie
s of identity, belonging and home. It sketches the context of Sr
i Lankan Tamil Refugees in India, and what it means to live in a limb
o, to build meaning amidst displacement, and to seek dignity in a wor
ld that often overlooks them.
