The situation in Iran is changing every day. Social media and news channels are brimming with informat ion about the protests and the ensuing violent crack-down. Since many of our community are affected, together with AnthroCine, we are orga nising a movie showing of an Iranian movie: It was Just an Accident ( 2025).
There will be pizza (for free), drinks, and good c onversations. Prof. Halleh Ghorashi will engage with us in conversati on about the movie after watching it together. Join us for a night of good company, interesting conversation and solidarity.
It was Just an Accident (202 5) is an Iranian movie about a man who bumps into someone who he beli eves is his former torturer. It faces questions of revenge, resistanc e and redemption.
