 ombines time management, personal effectiveness and dealing with work
  pressure into one programme.</p> <p>Do you recognise the feeling of 
 constantly being busy, yet rarely having time for what really matters
 ? Switching endlessly between tasks, dealing with interruptions, and 
 trying to meet high expectations can make it difficult to stay focuse
 d, effective and resilient. This science-based training combines time
  management, personal effectiveness and dealing with work pressure in
 to one programme. Drawing on insights from neuroscience, psychology a
 nd 'Deep Work', participants gain practical tools to work with more f
 ocus, make conscious choices, and maintain energy in a demanding work
  environment.</p><h3>Programme</h3><p>On <strong>the first day</stron
 g>, the focus is on time management and personal effectiveness. You e
 xplore how attention and focus work in the brain, how to reduce switc
 h-tasking, and how to create conditions for deep, concentrated work. 
 Practical tools help translate insights into daily routines, from goa
 l-setting and planning methods to strategies for switching off and re
 charging. With the support of a professional training actor, you prac
 tice communication skills such as saying no, dealing with pushy behav
 iour, delegating tasks, and negotiating priorities&nbsp; - essential 
 skills for protecting time and attention.</p><p>The <strong>second da
 y</strong> adresses dealing with work pressure in a holistic way, foc
 using on skills, mindset, energy, and the social context of work. You
  examine sources of stress, cognitive patterns such as impostor feeli
 ngs and self-criticism, and learn evidence-based techniques to regula
 te energy and restore balance. Through exercises, reflection and role
 -play with an actor, you practice giving and receiving feedback, sett
 ing boundaries, and talking openly about workload and pressure. The p
 rogramme concludes with a personal action plan, helping participants 
 take concrete next steps toward sustainable performance, focus and we
 ll-being.</p><h3>For whom?</h3><p>All postdocs are welcome to join th
 is training.</p><h3>Practical information</h3><p>A maximum of 12 post
 docs can participate in this training. The language of communication 
 is English. This training is live at VU Amsterdam.</p><h3>Costs</h3><
 p>As a compensation for programme costs, we ask participants for a co
 ntribution of € 85. This contribution is automatically charged to y
