 s to develop occupies many of us. Authoritarian leadership is gaining
  ground, technology influences how we think and act. At the same time
 , it is becoming more difficult to step outside existing frameworks.<
 /p><p>In cooperation with the National Committee 4 and 5 May, VU Amst
 erdam organizes an evening where lectures and discussion come togethe
 r around this theme. <strong>Jörgen Raymann </strong>will host the e
 vening. He is a board member of the National Committee and a passiona
 te connector who brings younger generations and diverse groups in soc
 iety closer together.</p><p>During the evening, professor <strong>Jer
 oen de Ridder</strong>, along with professors <strong>Marianne Hirsch
  Ballin</strong> and <strong>Nikki Sterkenburg,</strong> who are affi
 liated with the National Committee for 4 and 5 May, will share insigh
 ts from their research and engage in dialogue with one another. They 
 will demonstrate how Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam contributes, throug
 h research and dialogue, to a deeper understanding of freedom, and ho
 w these insights can be used to help safeguard the freedom of others.
