 ged as a promising construct for understanding classroom socializatio
 n and group dynamics. This talk synthesizes the current state of rese
 arch and outlines future directions for advancing this construct. Fou
 r focal areas will be discussed: (1) establishing the <strong>concept
 ual foundation</strong> of peer community within the broader peer eco
 logy, (2) addressing the <strong>measurement complexity</strong> invo
 lved in capturing both individual and collective levels, (3) examinin
 g its <strong>developmental benefits</strong> in preventing aggressiv
 e students from achieving peer status, and (4) exploring the <strong>
 friendship processes</strong> through which peer community is sociali
 zed among peers. The talk will present empirical findings, highlight 
 methodological challenges, and discuss theoretical and practical impl

DESCRIPTION: Peer community—defined as the collective sense of trust
