  succeed because of human error? Why do people sometimes follow polic
 ies and sometimes not? And how do you create a culture in which secur
 e behavior becomes the norm?</p></p> <p>During this interactive works
 hop, social psychologist and cybersecurity expert Maarten Timmerman, 
 CEO and co-founder of Awareways, will take you on a journey into the 
 world of human behavior in information security. Drawing on his backg
 round in social psychology, he will demonstrate how behavior, motivat
 ion, and organizational culture influence digital security.</p><p>Usi
 ng real-world examples and insights from behavioral science, Maarten 
 explores:</p><ul>  <li>the relationship between behavior, culture, la
 ws and regulations, and security policy;</li>  <li>the difference bet
 ween extrinsic and intrinsic motivation, and how organizations can in
 fluence these to encourage safe behavior;</li>  <li>why employees som
