Join us for the alumni event of the Master’s in Transport and Supply Chain Management! Alumni, faculty members, and students of the Master's in Transport and Supply Chain Management are welcome to explore how Operations Analytics can be used to create supply chain value.

The event will bring an academic perspective, featuring inspiring talks, opportunities to reconnect with fellow alumni, and the chance to engage with both academia and industry. Experience the VU spirit with a thought-provoking programme followed by conversations that continue over networking drinks.

Enjoy keynotes by VU experts

The New Frontier: Machine Learning and AI in Supply Chain Management
Dr. Karimi Mamaghan will explore how machine learning and AI are transforming supply chain management. We will discuss key applications from forecasting to real-time optimisation and highlight both the opportunities and challenges of integrating AI into complex supply chain decision-making.

The Hidden Frontier: Unlocking Untapped Value in Traditional SCM Models
While AI garners attention, traditional supply chain models continue to deliver substantial business value. Drawing on recent thesis collaborations with TSCM partner companies, Prof. Wout Dullaert will illustrate how established SCM concepts remain vital for solving today’s challenges and uncovering business value.

Social gathering: Networking with peers and students

The evening will conclude with a social gathering where alumni, faculty, and students can connect, exchange ideas on the evolving field of Transport and Supply Chain Management and explore career perspectives. Current MSc students are especially eager to hear from you about your journey after graduation.

Don’t miss this special occasion to reconnect, learn, and share perspectives on the future of Transport and Supply Chain Management!

For this event, there is a small participation fee of €12.50, which includes a light meal during the networking drinks.
