We will watch a movie and engage in the discussion of societal problems connected to the way of doing science and possible solutions to them.
This is a first joint event organized by Anthrocine and SIOS - Student Initiative for Open Science. Anthrocine is a film club founded by teachers and students from the department of anthropology. We aim to engage in anthropological discussions through the visual narrative that movies and documentaries might spark. SIOS is a student-led open science initiative that is focused on educating undergraduate and graduate-level students about good research practices. It aims to emphasise open science’s relevance for all of the student community – not just the aspiring researchers.
This will be a extra festive event so we celebrate with free pizza slices and popcorn.
You are welcome in the 3D debate center at the VU campus square. Doors open at 6 p.m. Movie starts at 6:30.
