How are decisions made in a large company? Which skills do you need to reach the top? What are the unwritten rules on the work floor? How can you turn social ambitions into concrete results? Apply for a position in The Boardroom and get the answers to these questions.
The Boardroom is a programme of ten high-level master classes with a maximum of 20 Master’s students. Every three weeks, a prominent VU alumnus will share their unique knowledge and experience with you. A VU scientist will provide an introduction on the subject.
Via The Boardroom, you will become acquainted with companies and organisations and develop the skills that you might not necessarily acquire during your studies. You will meet students from other fields of study to discuss issues and work together. In the process, you will become part of an exclusive network of former participants and Boardroom speakers. Read about the experiences of other students who came before you.
The Boardroom sessions are held in the evenings, and require your commitment and active participation. The number of openings is limited, so a committee will select 20 Master’s students to participate. The programme will run from October 2017 to June 2018. The application period runs from 1 June to 1 October. More information on how to apply.
The curriculum includes a group assignment, which you will work on over the course of the year together with the other participants. In order to facilitate this group assignment, several work seminars will be scheduled. Contributions to the group assignment and participation in the work seminars are required elements of The Boardroom curriculum.
