At VU Amsterdam we have the following Departments: Student- & Onderwijszaken [student and educational affairs], the VU Bibliotheek [university library], Communicatie & Marketing [communications and marketing], Facilitaire Campus Organisatie [facilatory campus organisation], Financiën & Audit [finances and control], Human Resources Management, Arbo & Milieu [occupational health and environment] and Informatietechnologie [Information Technology]. In addition, we have a Dienst Bestuurszaken [administrative matters department], which is responsible for a limited number of strategic policy files and for supporting the administrative consultative structure. Furthermore, this service has a number of umbrella functions and responsibilities including, amongst others, legal and participation decision-making consultation and support.
