The Executive Board will acknowledge receipt of your appeal in writing. Before reaching a decision, the Board will investigate all relevant facts, taking all interests into account, and will offer the party or parties involved an opportunity to present their case. This will be heard by an impartial person, i.e. someone who was not involved in making or preparing the decision being appealed. In the case of appeals relating to the decentralized selection procedure, standpoints will be heard by an advisory committee. The hearing may be omitted where:

  • the appeal does not meet the required criteria;
  • the parties do not wish to be heard;
  • the appeal can be granted in full.
The Executive Board will announce its decision within six weeks of the appeal being received. This decision will be communicated to the interested party or parties in writing.
